He's known for some of the goriest horror movies of the last ten years, and Eli Roth certainly hasn't changed his style for the second series of Hemlock Grove.
The Netflix original show returns next month, and in the first trailer, it shows the residents of the small Pennsylvania town are still just as strange as ever.
With Famke Janssen returning as the Machiavellian matriarch Olivia Godfrey, the second series will be upping the shock factor.

Scary stuff: Hemlock Grove returns for a second season, and it's gorier than ever
The first season's plot revolved around the investigation into the death of a local girl, which ended with a massacre incurred by one the town's deadliest creatures.
This time around the lead male protagonists, Roman Godfrey (Bil Skarsgard) and Peter Rumancek (Landon Liboiron), are coming to grips with their demons and the new responsibilities they bring.
Roman is struggling with his Upir (half-demon) birth right and the disappearance of his sister Shelley, which has led to the disintegration of the relationship with his mother Olivia, who had been using the family's medical centre to conduct sinister experiments on the town folk.

Peter's wolf-like alter ego becomes more prevalent and he is forced to move in with Destiny (Kaniehtiio Horn) and get job after his mother is sent away.
Meanwhile, in search of a new life, newcomer Miranda Cates (Brewer) embarks on Hemlock Grove with an unknowingly profound effect on Peter and Roman.
And Norman (Scott), still reeling from the loss of his family, must face the harsh truths that are uncovered about those he still loves.
