In her first interview the Duchess of Cambridge's sister discusses life as a royal in-law
Pippa Middleton has opened up on what it felt like to walk with her sister Kate down the aisle for the Duchess of Cambridge's royal wedding. Millions may have been tuned in worldwide, but according to Pippa it was just another "family wedding."
Kate's little sister has given her first ever interview to The Today Show in the US, the first part of which has been screened on NBC this morning.
Talking to Matt Lauer, Pippa chatted about Kate and Prince William's 2011 wedding, as she admitted that "it sounds funny to say, we saw it as just a family wedding. And actually, I didn't realise, perhaps, the scale of it until afterwards."
"We all took on the roles as any family would," she said.

While Pippa seemed pretty laid-back about the whole day she did go on to admit that seeing the huge crowds outside of Buckingham Palace really made the scale of the occasion sink in. She recalled thinking of the moment she and the Middleton family joined the royals on the palace balcony: "Wow, this is pretty special."
Lauer was also keen to ask Pippa about that Maid of Honour dress, with Pippa's bum in the sleek white number hitting headlines the world over. "You know," she insisted, "I think the plan was not really for it to be a significant dress. Really just to sort of blend in with the [wedding dress] train."

While she looked amazing in the dress, Pippa added that she hasn't tried it on since: "It's actually still in my wardrobe at home … I think it's the sort of thing that I'm sure I'll bring out if someone wanted to see it or my children one day want to see it. Then I'll show them."
The second part of Pippa's interview airs tomorrow.
