She told the publication the couple got engaged after a whirlwind 12 month romance following a troubled few years which included her recent divorce and the death of her father.
'He is everything I've ever wanted in a man. Strong, protective, sensible, intelligent, affectionate, good-looking - he ticks all the boxes. I now understand the term "my other half," she said.
'People say it all the time, but now I know what it means to feel part of a team moving in the same direction.'

'He's like a breath of fresh air. He hasn't had the drama I've had but can still empathise. I am, at heart, a laid-back person; complications come to me.'
'But I don't want the drama any more. I'll keep the drama to the stage,' she said.
'Thankfully, I've come out the other side now. Time is a great healer and we have so much to look forward to. I feel really secure and I'm the happiest I've ever been in my personal life - ever in my life.'
As for where her career lies Suzanne told ATG Tickets: 'I'd actually love to get into TV comedy at some point, but in this business you can never say never because you never know what's going to come up next.
'I used to hate that, but I've learned to enjoy the surprises. I never thought I'd be in Hear'Say and then all the other shows and random things I've done since, but I've been a lucky girl.'
