Actor Shia LaBeouf has a friend in Liza Minnelli's publicist. The controversial star caused a scene at a New York theatre last week during a performance of Caberet and now the rep for Liza has sent him a copy on DVD so he can find out how the story ends.
The former Even Stevens star was forced to leave the Broadway production of Caberet on Thursday, after he interrupted the show by smoking and shouting.
Shia was led out of Studio 54 in handcuffs by NYPD police after disrupting actress Michelle William's solo performance and smacking actor Alan Cumming on the bottom as he entered the stage via the audience.

A witness told the Huffington Post that LaBeouf was yelling crude remarks throughout the first half before the police were called. They shared: "Shia was being lewd, grunting and yelling in a lascivious way, 'Oh yeaaaaaaaaaaah,' It was really odd and creepy."
Now in an unusual move, Liza Minnelli's publicist has now extended a rather frosty hand out to the actor by way of a DVD copy of Caberet.

Liza won the Oscar for Best Actress after she portrayed Sally Bowles in the 1972 adaptation of Caberet.
Scott Gorenstein, who is a spokesperson for Ms Minnelli revealed to E! News he had posted the DVD to Shia on Sunday, adding: "I figured he may want to find out how it ends."
