Katie Cleary: Did Effort to Join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Lead to Husband's Death?
Jun 27th 2014, 18:46, by Free Britney

Model Katie Cleary, whose husband Andrew Stern committed suicide on Sunday, has denied that her recent partying in Cannes played any role in the tragedy.

Whether or not her schmoozing with movie stars contributed at all to Katie Cleary's husband taking his own life will never be known, but we do know this:

She reportedly tried to land a role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and that helped cause financial problems for herself and Andrew Stern.

According to TMZ, following her Deal or No Deal breakout modeling success, Katie implored Andrew to help her enter the world of Hollywood celebrity.

For whatever reason, she focused on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and then-cast member Taylor Armstrong, plus her then-husband Russell.

To meet this end, Katie took Andrew to dinners, parties and other events where the cast hung out, but never ended up with a spot on the Bravo hit.

On the contrary, Andrew actually got involved some of Russell Armstrong's investments that went south, losing a boatload of cash as a result.

Russell and his business partner, Alan Schram, also committed suicide.

Stern hit rock bottom financially and and emotionally over the past few months, ultimately shooting himself in the head at an Ohio firing range.

Whatever the cause, the couple were estranged, and he clearly battled serious depression, something that could've been exacerbated by many factors.

Our condolences to Andrew's family and Katie's in these hard times.
