Sorry, Fans! The Vamps Find It 'Hard To Date Normal Girls'
Jun 7th 2014, 09:07

Cuties The Vamps might regularly sing about the love life of a normal teen - meeting a girl at a party, getting a little bit tipsy, hooking up, probably never speaking again - -but it seems that in reality the boys' love life is far from simple!

The band - consisting of Bradley Simpson, 19, Connor Ball, 18, James McVey, 20, and Tristan Evans, 19 - recently admitted that they had all split up with their partners after the band took off because they felt their girlfriends didn't understand the difficulties of fame.

"I think you see a lot of celebs dating other celebs, because both sides can deal with the nature of the job. If you're in a band and you're trying to date a normal girl at university, it will be harder because of the difference in lifestyle," Bradley told Heat.

The Wild Heart hitmaker also revealed that potential girlfriends might find it difficult to date them because of the backlash they might get from fans that also want a piece of them!

He added: "Plus they'd get too much hate."

But it doesn't seem as though the lead singer is having too much trouble coping with the difficulty of dating normal girls because he has already set his sights on one rather famous lady, New Girls star Zooey Deschanel.

Asked who he was crushing on, he said: "It's got to be Zooey Deschanel. She's amazing."

And the 34-year-old recently made the musicians day, following him on Twitter!

Bandmate Tristan quipped: "She followed him on Twitter the other day. You should have seen him. "

But the 19-year-old played it cool, adding: "She just followed me randomly."

Band member James recently got into a spot of bother after a magazine claimed that he had labelled all of their fans as "12-year-olds" adding that he would never date them because "he doesn't want to go to prison".

Needless to say, James quickly cleared up the rumours, tweeting: "Just seen this- honestly never said that about you guys. Don't believe everything you hear. Hope you'd have known me better than that too... People are quick to judge and condemn."
