Calvin Harris has confirmed that he and Rita Ora broke up "some time ago", nipping speculation in the bud on his Twitter page.
The serial hitmaker started seeing Rita around a year ago, after they had initially got off on the wrong foot with a dispute over whether or not she had first dibs on Cheryl Cole's 'Call My Name', which he produced.
Despite a brief break over New Year, they seemed to enjoy a happy and healthy - if long distance - romance; however Calvin has now tweeted: "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."

Last month, the 'I Will Never Let You Down' singer had said of their romance: "You have to fly each other out, you just have to.
"Sometimes you fly for 20 hours, sometimes you only fly for five hours. It's an effort, but you make it work."
She added: "I'm not a fan of long distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you. It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you've got.
"If you really want something, you'll make it work. I'm so happy for all the success Calvin has. He's a creative, amazing individual, the last thing I want is to get in between that."
Calvin produced her recent No1 smash, and also bagged a chart-topper himself with 'Summer'.
