It was revealed earlier this month that Italy's controversial striker Mario, 23, had popped the question to Belgian model Fanny, and she happily posted a photo of her diamond engagement ring on Instagram.

Gushing over his bride-to-be after the proposal, Mario tweeted: "She said yes.. The most important yes in my life. That was the place of my question! I Love you and happy birthday too! Je t'aime my WIFE."
