Joan Rivers is no stranger to making the odd controversial comment, but it appears the Fashion Police host's latest comments have landed her in a bit of hot water with former Twilight actress Kristen Stewart.
Referring to her new book, Diary Of A Mad Diva, in which she poked fun at how Kristen got her movie career, TMZ reported Joan saying on camera that the joke was a step to far for the actress.
Joan has revealed that Kristen's lawyers have been in contact with her lawyers (WENN)
She said: "I'm now being sued by Kristen Stewart. She obviously didn't read our disclaimer, which is it's a comedy book.
"Her lawyer contacted my lawyer, which shows the sense of humour she has. My answer to her was: 'Be glad you're not a Kardashian because they're mentioned a lot more in the book'."
Defending herself and her book, the comedienne then went on to say: "I'm a comedienne. I've been doing it for 50 years. If people don't get it… don't come and see me.
"It's OK. Don't read the book. If you're going to take it seriously, you're a fool."
Kristen is reportedly threatening legal action against Joan (WENN)
A rep for Kristen has been approached for comment.
