Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are still together, at least in the sense that they never officially broke up. But things are not that great between them.
A few months ago, the couple "hit a rough patch," a friend says, but the singer has been trying to be "supportive of him and work through their issues."
That's not cryptic or anything. So what is the deal with the duo?
"Now," notes the friend of the Casper Smart cheating rumors linking him to transsexual model Sofia Vissa, "all this stuff comes out about sexting."
"They're still together, technically, but no idea for how long."
Rumors claim that Smart, 27, a former backup dancer for Lopez and now a choreographer, sent photos and steamy Instagram messages to Vissa.
He appeared to deny the story reported by controversial celebrity gossip site The Dirty, though Smart didn't address the specifics of the report directly.
Neither star's rep has commented on the couple's relationship.

"There were issues that pre-date these new reports," says another source, who adds that Lopez's mind is currently on things that go beyond Smart.
"She has a really busy three weeks and doesn't have time to deal with this, and she's on the East Coast and he's working on the West Coast."
"Her new single ("First Love") is on fire, her album is about to drop, and she has movies, and hit TV shows (The Fosters) that she's producing."
"She is excited about where her life is right now. She couldn't be in better shape professionally," the source adds, though, "Personally, it's a bit more tricky."
"They were having problems before the sexting. You do the math."
We will ... and expect an official breakup any minute now.
