Yaya DaCosta will channel the late great diva Whitney Houston in Lifetime's upcoming biopic, TVLine reports.
The actress and former America's Next Top Model contestant (Cycle 3) will star in the TV movie tentatively titled I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story, according to IMDb.

Yaya has starred in film and television with credits including Lee Daniels' The Butler and recurring roles on House M.D., Ugly Betty and All My Children.
The Whitney Houston movie also marks the directorial debut of Angela Bassett. She played the equally talented Tina Turner in the 1993 feature film What's Love Got To Do With It that garnered her a Oscar nomination.
"I have such regard for both Whitney's and Bobby's amazing talents and accomplishments; and I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story," Angela said in a statement to E! News on May 22.
"Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I'm beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world.
The Lifetime biopic will chronicle Whitney's "volatile relationship with singer-songwriter Bobby Brown during her meteoric rise to musical superstardom," according to TVLine.
The roles of Bobby and other significant people in the singer's life have yet to be cast.
Lifetime's Whitney Houston story is set to air in 2015.
