Jun 1st 2014, 08:29

It was Fifty Shades of wow at the 7th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in New Jersey on Saturday as Dakota Johnson stunned in a sundress, but the actress had some competition from Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o who was also looking cute in her own summery number.

The stars flocked to the annual polo event just outside NYC yesterday where it was as much about the fashion as the horses.

Enjoying some time off between shooting Fifty Shades of Grey and her new film Black Mass with Johnny Depp, Dakota wowed in an adorable summery outfit.

Earlier in the day the star was spotted heading for a workout in New York and her toned figure was on full display in a cute black and white sundress and matching flats, along with that all important hat.

Talking to E! News at the event the 24-year-old gushed about her favourite wardrobe staple: "I think the sexiest thing is a hat. It's very sexy!", she revealed.

While Dakota hung out with Busy Philipps and model Behati Prinsloo at the event Lupita found time to catch up with her Non-Stop co-star Julianne Moore.
