Sarah Jessica Parker is set to return to TV screens in a new show that will see her in a role much different to that of Carrie in Sex and the City, this time she'll be playing a journalist trying to uncover a police scandal!
The actress will be a part of Sydney Kimmel Entertainment's first television series, according to Variety.
The new show will be based on a nonfiction book titled Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love. Sarah will help tell the tale of reporters Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker, who try to break open a police scandal in Philadelphia.
Although Sex and the City spawned two movies on the big screen, Parker's latest role will be the first time she has appeared on the small screen since HBO aired the final episode of the series in 2004.

The new series will also be produced by the team behind True Detective.
SKE President Jim Tauber and President of Production Carla Hacken announced the project with a recent statement.
They said: "Wendy and Barbara have written an amazing true story, and we're thrilled for it to be SKE's first television project. Sarah Jessica's coming on board, along with David Frankel and Don Roos is simply a perfect combination that we couldn't be happier about."
The show will air in hour-long episodes.
