Cheryl Cole has said she's getting on like a house on fire with new X Factor colleague Mel B, amid the usual onslaught of reports suggesting there is unrest on the panel.
The 'Fight For This Love' hitmaker said at yesterday's Capital FM Summertime Ball that the one-time Scary Spice is much more "direct" than she is, bringing a new element to the mix.
"I admit we are very different characters and very different people," she told The Sun.

"But it works. She actually makes me laugh. Sometimes I have to stop myself laughing at her because it's really rude — the contestants think I'm laughing at them."
She added: "She's quick and she's very direct. A lot of the stuff she says I couldn't bring myself to say. But I love that — it's a good dynamic for the panel."

Cheryl missed the last three seasons of the show, which were won by Little Mix, James Arthur and Sam Bailey; but says it feels like she's never been away.
"I have to admit that at first I thought, 'Oh God, what is this going to be like?' But it really feels like I haven't been gone," she explained.
The X Factor, also judged by Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, returns to screens in the summer.
