Kim Kardashian is hardly the next Angelina Jolie but there IS more to the reality star than clothes, Kanye West and her curvaceous bum. It may have gone unnoticed that she hasn't been afraid of airing her views in the past when it comes to controversial political or human rights issues. Don't believe us?
Take this week for example, Kim announced that she was pulling out of her initial protest against the chain of hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah, including the Beverly Hills Hotel, after he signed a cruel Sharia Law penal code which has allowed for homosexuality to be punishable by death in his country.

Explaining her decision to back down from the protest, Kim said in a post on her website that she didn't want to punish the hardworking staff at the hotel.
"I started to realize that maybe boycotting the hotel isn't the best solution either. For a sultan that has 20 billion dollars, this loss of business doesn't even make a dent in his fortunes," she wrote.
"But the hotel staff are being negatively affected every day with the boycott that has gone on for weeks now… We shouldn't punish the amazing hard-working people who have been so good to us for years!"
Well, don't be too shocked that Kim has actually taken a stand for human rights in other countries as it's certainly not the first time she has weighed in on controversial issues...

Simpson's legal team in the 1994 double murder trial of which he was acquitted on both counts.
December 2013 - Kim on donating only 10% to charity:

Kim spoke about the racism her interracial relationship with husband Kanye West has received (Sharpshooter Images/Splash News)
"I do it because I want to. I do because my dad taught me to. I do it because it's the right thing to do. So for people to attack me for giving 10% of my eBay auction sales to the people of the Philippines, that hurts."
She added: "I do eBay auctions monthly and change the charity or church from time to time. I give 10% of all my earnings to charities, not just these eBay auctions. This month it's for the people of the Philippines, last month was Life Change Community Church."

May 2014 – Kim launches rant against racism:
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been targeted by some with racist views over her interracial relationship with Kanye West, but launched an epic rant hitting back at those who discriminate and revealing her hopes for daughter North.
"To be honest, before I had North, I never really gave racism or discrimination a lot of thought. It is obviously a topic that Kanye is passionate about, but I guess it was easier for me to believe that it was someone else's battle," Kim wrote in a blog post titled 'On My Mind.'
"But recently, I've read and personally experienced some incidents that have sickened me and made me take notice. I realise that racism and discrimination are still alive, and just as hateful and deadly as they ever have been."
"I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing."
