Jun 24th 2014, 15:43

The actor even went as far to say that James Bond hasn't got anything on the Time Lord

Matt Smith has offered a comprehensive list of reasons as to why Doctor Who is still popular, and one of them has something to do with attracting the opposite sex.

In a recent discussion with fans at Wizard World Comic Con, the Radio Times reported the actor, who bowed out of the show during the Christmas episode, saying:

"Is there a better format for a show? Man can go anywhere. Man picks up hot chicks. Man travels universe. Man fights aliens. Man can change. Beat that, television. James Bond's got nothing on us."

Rightly so!

Matt has revealed his reasons for the success of Doctor Who (WENN)

Along with why the sci-fi drama is so good, Matt had nothing but kind words to say of his successor, Peter Capaldi, who is currently filming scenes for the new series of the show which will make a comeback to our screens in August.

Speaking of Capaldi, Matt said:

"I think he's going to bring his reinvention and I think it's going to be really bold and really interesting.

"He's a fabulous actor, he's having a great time. I think he's pretty tired now they're on week 24."

We can't wait for the return of Doctor Who, can you?
