Season five of The Walking Dead is well underway with the cast and crew hard at work in Georgia. And according to the show's star Norman Reedus, we're in for a rollercoaster season.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly from the set, Norman teased that the next run of the hit AMC show is the most exciting yet.
"These scripts are the best scripts so far, and I'm really just excited to be back at it," the actor who plays Daryl Dixon revealed.
But according to Norman, the new season brings up a whole new set of challenges, and not just from those menacing Walkers. "There are a lot of characters right now, so there are a lot of really different personalities on set," Norman said. "And it's super interesting, everyone's really bringing it. It's going great. It's so dynamic because it's so fast-paced and so complicated. It's great to be back."

"Everybody on the whole team is so badass right now. It's interesting, because a lot of personalities are clashing, or characters' personalities are clashing." Norman also added that badass Rick Grimes from series four is here to stay: "yeah, we definitely have Rick back", he confirmed.
Scott M. Gimple is enjoying his second full season as showrunner, which Norman reckoned is amazing news for the future of the show:
"Scott, he's so good at his job, and he's such a great storyteller and such a good writer. He has this thing planned out to the end, I think," he exlained. "He's definitely very qualified for the job. I never felt like we weren't stable, though. I feel like we're as stable as we ever were, just we have the confidence that we have this team back. It's such a well-oiled machine right now. It's great, and everyone feels super confident."
The Walking Dead returns to screens later this year.
