J.B. Gill and his wife Chloe Gill have announced that they are expecting their first child together.

The former JLS star shared the happy news with fans on his Twitter page yesterday and said that he couldn't wait to become a father.

The 27-year-old tweeted: "Mrs @ChloeSGill is soon to become Mummy Gill!!!!!!!!!hehehe #jbnews #babygill #excited #cantwaittobeadaddy (sic)"

And of course the singer's wife is equally as excited as her counterpart, as she also wrote: "Sooo excited to announce that @JBGill and I are expecting our first child! I know J's going to be the most amazing Dad! #BabyGill xx (sic)"

The happy couple, who married on the Isle of Bute in Scotland in early May this year, have received countless congratulatory messages on Twitter from their friends, including J.B.'s former bandmate Marvin Humes and his wife Rochelle.

Rochelle, who has one-year-old daughter Alaia-May with her, now radio DJ, husband, tweeted: "You don't know how excited Auntie Roch is...I nearly burst with excitement! Love you guys too much (sic)"

J.B. and his wife Chloe have made no secret of their desire to start a family, after the Beat Again hitmaker said that he definitely wanted to have children in the future shortly after their wedding.

The singer said: "We love kids and we're looking forward to being parents. It's something we've talked about, obviously, but there are no firm plans."

And the couple haven't just kept things traditional in their decision to have children after they were wed, earlier this month J.B. revealed to Hello! magazine that the couple even lived apart before their wedding on May 3.

Speaking at the time, he said: "Like I say, we're traditional and to us that's all part of this exciting new chapter in our lives.

"For me, it's a big thing. When you get married, it's not just you anymore, it's the two of you, and I'm looking forward to reflecting that in our home and making it our house."

Looks like it's going to be the three of you now J.B. - best get working on that nursery!
