Miranda Lambert Reveals All About Her New Album As She Shows Off Stunning Weight Loss
Jun 2nd 2014, 08:46

Miranda Lambert has revealed the struggles behind her recent weight loss in her new song, 'Gravity Is a B*tch'.

The singer managed to lose a staggering 25 pounds in three months, but admitted it wasn't easy.

Speaking to Us Weekly about the reasons for recording the song, she explained: "My fans expect me to lay it all out!

"I've always been happy with myself. But when I hit 30, I thought, It's not going to get easier. So I chose to get ahead of it. There's still nothing I love more than a bag of Cheetos, though!"

And turning 30 last November didn't only affect her diet. "The younger me was a little wilder and fast on the trigger. I'd shoot you and burn your house down," she joked.

"I'm a bit softer [now I'm older]. I still might shoot you - but maybe I'll just set your garage on fire!" she continued.

And with age, seems to comes more success, as the star duets with country legend, Carrie Underwood, on her fifth album, 'Platinum'.

But Miranda revealed that she was nervous to ask Carrie to get involved. "I sent her a rambling email asking her to do it. I figured she'd think I was crazy, but she wrote right back saying she was in," she said.

"I was so nervous the day she came to the studio. We ended up having a blast."

But the addition of Carrie isn't the only surprising feature on her album, as she also sings about her marriage to fellow country music star, Blake Shelton.

Explaining the reason for singing about their relationship, she said: "Tabloids kept saying I was pregnant with triplets or that Blake and I were getting a $100 million divorce. We've learned to ignore the rumours and go on with our lives."
