Liam Payne has opened up about his love life for the first time since his reported split from girlfriend Sophia Smith and it would seem that the One Direction cutie has fallen in love with Mr KFC himself, Colonel Sanders!
It seems that Liam doesn't just love chicken, he LOVES chicken after the Midnight Memories hitmaker expressed his affection for the face of fast food chain KFC in a tweet yesterday.
The singer tweeted: "Now I may not be gay but I am in love with a man ... 2 words the kernel god bless you and your original recipe" along with a picture on a bag of the "kernel" himself.
The 20-year-old looked to be refuelling after he and the rest of One Direction performed a massive gig in Manchester last night - and it seems as though it really hit the spot as Liam tweeted after his meal, "I'm so fulllllll!!! Think I just ate my body weight in chicken fries and sides owwwwww"

It was nice to see the singer was still capable of some banter after posting a series of tweets just hours before, apologising for the behaviour of his fellow bandmates after footage was leaked online of Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik smoking marijuana in Peru earlier this week.
Liam posted a lengthy apology to his page, a segment of which read: "I love my boys and maybe things have gone a little sideways I apologise for that. We are only in our 20s we all do stupid things at this age," before adding, "We all have a lot of growing up to do in an extreme circumstance I'm not making excuse but it's fact we are gunna fall short somewhere".
In more serious love news, the One Direction heartthrob is reportedly back with his ex Sophia after the pair were pictured together at a shopping centre in Birmingham last week, and reports claim that the singer was anything but shy when it came to showing his lady some affection.
We wonder if she knows she has got some competition from Mr Sanders?
