He's desperate to win his ex-girlfriend, 24-year-old Lydia Bright back, so perhaps James Argent, 26, was hoping she might catch a glimpse of his slightly more paternal side on Thursday.
The TOWIE favourite was pictured taking a walk in the park in Essex with his friend Billie Faiers and her adorable two-week-old daughter Nelly.
Ever the gent, the funnyman kept the newborn tot close to his chest after placing her in a baby carrier, letting Billie have a bit of respite.

James is clearly meaning to show off his more mature side and also finally moved out of his mother's home in Essex this week.
New mum Billie looked delighted to be sharing the workload with her reality co-star as they walked up a hill together.
The 24-year-old stunner was snapped back into the shape following the birth of her first child with businessman Greg Shepherd.

With a huge smile plastered on her face, the pretty blonde looked lovely in an orange floral dress which she teamed with a sensible pair of flat white jewelled mules.
Later, Arg had his dear friend in stitches as they sat on a bench together to take a little rest.
Making sure that little Nelly wasn't exposed to too much sun, the singer held a vintage-looking white parasol over her.

Billie has carried on with her filming commitments to ITV2 reality show, TOWIE and has even managed to watch the episodes, despite her busy new role as mum.
On Wednesday, she tweeted: 'My little pickle is asleep just in time so mummy can watch #TOWIE @itv2 ...'
She recently told OK! magazine she has given Nelly's middle name is Samantha, in honour of her beloved sibling, who helped her get through a gruelling 32-hour labour.
