The final film in The Hobbit trilogy is meant to be the most epic films of all three, and now director Peter Jackson is explaining exactly how he managed to make this film full of action and and interesting stories.
Apparently, we're going to see a lot more of the elves in this film, and more details on other characters as well.
"We're developing more story with the elves and with Gandalf," he reveals to Total Film Magazine. "We're developing the character of Bard the Bowman [Luke Evans]. We're able to expand what was there, bring in a little bit extra to the mythology and open it up a bit."

Another strategy that Peter Jackson has used to make the film better is by breaking up the action sequences so that there are personal story lines with the characters occurring at the same time.
"What we're trying to do is have a lot of that conflict and resolution happen during the course of the battle, so it doesn't just become all action," he explained. "There's still a plot with the characters to follow, even though they're surrounded by fighting trolls and orcs and things."
The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies will be released on December 17.
