The Walking Dead: Will Andrea Be Making A Return To Spin-Off Show?
Sep 29th 2014, 15:12

The Walking Dead is just so good that it has been given it's own spin-off show and for the first time, producers have released details of the six main characters that will feature in the new series, and it looks as though a popular leading character from the main show could be joining the new cast - but is it the original Andrea or a whole new person?

As fans continue to get excited about the main show's upcoming season five which premieres in just a couple of weeks, AMC have ordered a pilot for TWD's anticipated spin-off show, described as a "companion series," and they've now been treated to the names and a bit of info about each character who will form the lead characters.

So who exactly will be the new batch of survivors on the run from flesh-eating zombies?

Sean Cabrera has been described as a Latino male who is a good man and simply trying to do right by everyone he comes across, and he'll be joined by his teenage son, Cody Cabrera, who will be a right handful, branded "rebellious" and also the "angriest" kid in town. Maybe the Walkers will put him in his place?

He may have some competition though as there's another teenager walking around town in the form of Nick Tompkins, who is described as "screwed up" - charming - and too old to stay at home yet too scared to leave. His mother is Nancy Tompkins, a thirty-something single mum raising two kids. She's apparently like a girl-next-door but with an edge. Intriguing! Then there's her other child, daughter Ashley, who is "level-headed" and while she loves her mum, is keen to fly the nest.

That leads us to Andrea but sadly not the blonde-haired Andrea we grew to hate, then love, then dislike a little more as - SPOILER - she's dead. But the new Andrea does sound just as interesting, described as a forty-something "flower child" who seeks solace in the outskirts of the city to recover from a failed marriage.

Announcing the series earlier this month, co-producer Robert Kirkman said: "There are many corners of The Walking Dead universe that remain unseen in the shadows. Being given the opportunity to shine a light into those corners and see what lurks out there is an absolute thrill. I know the fans are anxious to hear what Dave and I have been cooking up for this new universe of The Walking Dead, and I'm happy to be one step closer to sharing it with them."

Until then, Walking Dead fans can look forward to season five of the main show which premieres on October 12.
