It's been revealed that Aretha Franklin's album of diva classic covers will be released on October 21.
The new album will see the R-E-S-P-E-C-T hitmaker cover tracks including Whitney Houston's I'm Every Women, Barbara Streisand's People and Gladys Knight's Midnight Train To Georgia. The most recent track on the album will be Adele's Rolling In The Deep, which will also be the album's first single.
The album will available for digital download on September 30, the same day Franklin, 72, will perform Adele's hit on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Great Diva Classics reunited the music icon with longtime collaborator Clive Davis. "I mean, it is great," he said in an interview. "For her to do all these songs. It's very exciting."

The highly anticipated new album will open with Etta James' signature hit, At Last, with Franklin closing the 10-track set list with Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U.
