Daniel Craig Spotted Prepping For Bond 24 In Marrakech With Mark Strong
Sep 30th 2014, 18:34

Pre-production on the next James Bond movie is well underway with EntertainmentWise spotting Daniel Craig on a working trip to Marrakech, Morocco last week, one of the rumoured shooting locations for Bond 24.

The actor was seen walking through Marrakech's central square, Jemaa el Fna, on Thursday with a number of security men. The actor went unrecognised in a baseball cap and sunglasses as he weaved his way through the snake charmers, street performers and tourists towards the city's famous souks.

It's believed Daniel and members of the Bond 24 movie were in Marrakech scouting locations for the forthcoming movie, with other shooting spots rumoured to include the small Austrian town of Obertilliach, Norway and Rome.

A couple of Twitter photos posted over the weekend shows Daniel also met up with his long-time friend and fellow actor Mark Strong, with the pair spotted taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Atlas mountains just outside Marrakech. While Mark could have just been keeping his buddy company during his work trip (the Brit is currently shooting Grimbsy with Sacha Baron Cohen in not too far away South Africa), could his presence signal a casting in Bond 24?

Mark recently confessed his long-held ambition to play a Bond villain, telling the Big Issue in an interview earlier this month that since meeting Daniel on the set of 1996 Brit TV show Our Friends in the North, he's always wanted to work with his his close friend, and his eldest son's godfather, again.

"The Bond villain would be the absolute pinnacle," he admitted of the dream role opposite Daniel. "They are almost as important as Bond himself because your hero is only as good as your villain so you have to have a good one for the hero to be truly heroic. I'm not ruling it out. We'll just wait and see…"

Has Bond 24 found its baddie in Mark? We'll have to wait and see.
