Robert Pattinson has revealed that he often suffers from bouts of depression after admitting that he doesn't really remember his life before shooting to megastardom as Edward Cullen in the Twilight phenomenon.
The actor's had a few years since finding fame - fending off swarms of paparazzi and of course his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart's scandalous affair with Snow White and The Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.
But he's not one to complain, in fact the actor even goes as far to insist: "I kind of like my depression in a funny sort of way," explaining that "I like my peaks and troughs".

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Rob went on to say: 'Luckily, depression never lasts long with me.''
Brushing off any unwanted sympathy, he joked: ''I would love to go into therapy but it makes me too anxious.''
From a shy, reserved and relatively unknown Brit, R-Patz's celeb status skyrocketed overnight when the first Twilight picture opened in cinemas back in 2008 with 'Twihards' becoming totally obsessed, often to terrifying levels with the superstar. Understandably it all got a bit too much for Rob but now he says he's managed to get his head around the whole fame game, accepting his life will never be the same again.

"I had a bit of a struggle at first because my life really contracted and I couldn't do a lot of the stuff I used to be able to do.
''But once I got through that a year or two ago I just accepted my life is something else and now I can't really remember what it was like before. So it's much easier to deal with.''
And as if starring as one of the most adored characters in teen cinematic history wasn't enough to bring the world's glare on R Patz's private life, press attention only intensified when his on screen relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart became a real life romance and unsurprisingly the entire planet became fixated on Hollywood's hottest new couple.
