On Sunday a number of images of a nude Jennifer Lawrence were posted anonymously on 4Chan after they were stolen from her personal account, with the hacker claiming to have accessed personal images and videos of over 100 celebrities.
Now deadspin.com have claimed they found out about the pictures a few weeks ago, in a creepy turn of events. According to the US site a tipster contacted them saying his girlfriend had been approached on Facebook by a man for naked images and he was willing to pay $5,000 for them. When the guy contacted him back to tell him to "f*** off" he replied by saying he had hundreds of celebrity nude pictures and proceeded to send the guy them.
Sounds weird right? This is deadspin's account of what was sent to them:
Apparently the man never got back in touch and they just disregarded the tip, however, with the release of the Jennifer Lawrence and Victoria Justice images, it seemed to fit the recent chain of events.
While the anonymous hacker hasn't been identified yet, if this is the same person we know it's a guy and he's not just interested in celeb images.

Jennifer Lawrence's rep has confirmed they've approached the police regarding the breach of privacy and with so many other celebrities named in a list he posted on 4Chan, including Rihanna and Kim Kardashian, you know this story isn't over.
We already knew this was a creepy story, but if this person's version of events are true and he's been approaching people for naked pictures on Facebook, as well as boasting about the celeb pics, it's getting even stranger.
Apple have yet to comment on claims the images were accessed via Cloud and understandably, users are worrying about the safety of their personal accounts.
