Chris Brown is reportedly expected to make an appearance at a Washington D.C. court today to enter a plea over his misdemeanor assault charge, after he reportedly rejected a number of plea deals earlier this year.
The 'Loyal' singer was charged with the offence almost a year ago after getting into a fight outside a Washington hotel, was expected to appear at the D.C. Superior Court on Friday to enter his plea but the hearing was delayed and has been rescheduled for later today, the Associated Press reports. Bill Miller, US Attorney spokesman, refused to make a comment on the case although the hearing is believed to be set for 9am today.
In January and June this year, Chris was reportedly two respective plea deals in the misdemeanor assault case but he is said to have rejected both. At the time both negotiations were offered, Chris, 25, was already serving time in jail for violating the terms of his probation, which was handed to him in 2009 over his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna, but he was released at the end of May after spending more than 100 days locked up.

EntertainmentWise have contacted Chris' reps for comment. Despite his ever-present legal woes, Chris seems to have enjoyed a relaxing Labor Day with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran who posted a photo of the pair hanging out with friends by a pool, captioning the snap: "Summer love." The couple appear to have reunited after splitting up for the umpteenth time temporarily last month.
The controversial R&B star has plenty to look forward to at the moment with his sixth studio album 'X' finally set for release on September 16 after experiencing more than a year of delays. The long-awaited record will feature the hit singles 'Loyal,' 'Don't Think They Know' and 'Fine China' as well as collaborations with Trey Songz, Kendrick Lamar, R. Kelly, Jhene Aiko and Usher.
