She has revealed that her priorities changed forever following the birth of her son Rex last year.

Now Fearne Cotton's main aim is to find Britain's most amazing mothers for Tesco's annual Mum of the Year campaign.

The Radio 1 DJ has been named ambassador of the 2015 awards and is tasked with encouraging the public to nominate the awe-inspiring mums they know.

Oozing glamour at the launch of the search on Friday, the 32-year-old looked stunning in a retro black-and-white dress with chic silver pleating detail.

Alongside her effortlessly tousled hair, the mother-of-one proved she's still got an edgy side by showing off her intricate foot tattoos in a pair of strappy black heels.

Speaking at the event, she said: 'There are so many inspirational mums out there who do such wonderful things for others and don't realise just how special they are!

'I am very excited to be part of the 10 year anniversary for the and to help give these incredible mums the recognition and appreciation they deserve.'

The drive, now in its tenth year, celebrates the selfless matriarchs up and down the country who put others first.

Since the event was first launched, 81 mums have been recognised, helping to boost the profiles of their charities and causes.

The winners will be announced at a special red carpet event on 1 March 2015.

The competition is especially close to the TV presenter's heart after she welcomed her first child with husband Jesse Wood - the son of Rolling Stone rocker Ronnie - last year.

Speaking about how motherhood had changed her life at the launch of her Very collection last autumn, she revealed: 'I'm still finding my feet with it. You just learn to prioritise; so my priorities are Rex, working and staying healthy and everything else has to go.

'Socialising, lounging around on the sofa have to go and it's all about those key things.'

The star walked down the aisle with partner Jesse last month, and revealed that she knew she had found her future husband after they were introduced through a friend at a meal in Ibiza.

She told Cosmopolitan: 'Jesse and I met through a friend in a restaurant in Ibiza and we just clicked... I don't think there's anything you can really pinpoint when it happens like that. I'd been in love before, but this was different. He makes me laugh, and he balances me out.

'He makes me laugh all the time and he's so chilled out. He's been to hell and back in certain ways, so nothing fazes him; he takes it all with a pinch of salt.'
