When VH1 premiered its hit reality series Dating Naked, the idea of going on blind dates in the buff to find love seemed like ... well, something you'd only see on VH1.
It didn't take for many contestants - one, Jesse Nizewitz, is even suing for showing her naked - but darned if the show didn't produce a real love connection.
After a date filled with naked surfing and conversation, artist Ashley Fonda, 27, fell hard for yoga teacher and self-proclaimed "sexual healer" Alika Medeiros, 36.
Recalls Fonda:
"We really deeply connected and he taught me things. We realized we both have the flower of life tattoo. I told one of the producers, 'I'm going to marry this man.'"
That she did.
Ashley Fonda and Alika Medeiros exchanged vows in a Shaman-officiated, non-traditional ceremony at a botanical garden in Los Angeles on August 6.
Fittingly, after walking down the aisle in a custom Nicholas Anthony wedding gown, she lost it. (The dress.) "We undressed for the ceremony!" says Fonda.
"As a little girl, I definitely didn't picture having a naked wedding, but this was such a liberating experience," she adds. "I'm truly in love with Alika."
"I'm so excited to see where our relationship goes and grows."
