Kate Bush made a triumphant return to the stage after 35-years, performing at London's Hammersmith Apollo to kick off her 22-date stint for her series of shows titled 'Before The Dawn'.
And it seems the gig was well worth the wait according to fans on Twitter who have flooded the site with excitement as the singer made their wish, which never seemed possible, come true.
Making her way onto the stage, the British icon was greeted with a standing ovation before even hitting a note, filling her set with some of her most influential hits including Running Up That Hill and The Ninth Wave, although perhaps her most recognisable smash Wuthering Heights was noticeably absent.

Not that the audience seemed to mind, as fans walked away with nothing but the utmost respect following last night's performance which was surely one of the most sought after gigs of all time.

@mrmichaelball posted that he'd: "Never felt more privileged to be in a theatre. Genius. Beautiful. Artistry at its most challenging and profound. Words fail me," while @PadraigJKennedy described the evening as the: "Best night I've ever experienced. Kate Bush reigns supreme. Wow. Wow. Wow. Unbelievable".
A stream of celebrities flocked to the capital to see the superstar including Madonna, Bjork, Lily Allen and reportedly David Bowie - all of which have undoubtedly been inspired by the eccentric diva throughout their own groundbreaking careers.
