It's official, and it's Elisabeth Hasselbeck's worst nightmare:
Rosie O'Donnell is coming back to The View.
Following days of strong speculation, ABC made this casting news public today, Tweeting the following photo and including with it a message that reads:
ABC confirms Rosie O'Donnell returns as co-host of #TheView w/ moderator Whoopi Goldberg for Season 18.
The news comes on the heels of The View letting both Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd go, and also on the heels of Elisabeth Hasselbeck slamming O'Donnell as someone who "spits in the face of our military."
Joy Behar has responded to that comment by questioning what Hasselbeck means an asking Elisabeth for an explanation, while Rosie has Tweeted that Hasselbeck doesn't donate money to the armed forces.
Yeah. The very sharp claws are out.
But more seats still need to be filled on The View. Should Andi Dorfman take one of them? Meghan McCain? Consider the possibilities below and then vote...
Sarah Palin won't dismiss the possibility. She has acknowledged that The View needs fresh blood.
