Kendall says she's happy when people don't recognize her from reality TV...

Starring on a hit reality show has helped Kendall Jenner rise to fame over the past seven years.  While her reality stardom has helped her live a fabulous lifestyle it has not helped her modeling career. Kendall, who graces the cover of the new issue of LOVE magazine, says that starring on Keeping Up with the Kardashians has made it harder for her to break into the modeling world.

"People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn't. What I have has almost worked against me," she told the magazine. ""I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn't take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show."

Kendall is frequently seen walking the catwalk for in-demand brands such as Chanel and Givenchy, but she says that it hasn't always been easy for her to secure work.

"I went on castings and some people weren't feeling me because of my name," Kendall said. "But it was great when people didn't recognize me. I was like, 'Thank you. Please don't recognize me.'"

It's getting harder and harder for Kendall to go unrecognized: the 18-year-old currently has over 8.4 million Twitter followers and over 11 million followers on Instagram.

Kendall's older sister, Kim Kardashian, also talked to the magazine about how hard it has been for Kendall to break into modeling because of her reality TV fame.

"She had to work extra hard to gain this respect and to fight for people to see she's serious. Marc Jacobs gave her a real shot and treated her like any other model," said Kim. "He believed in her and opened the door for her…she has proven that she is the real deal. Her hard work paid off, and that makes me so proud."
