Bands Forced To Cancel British Summer Time Appearance As Stage Is Shut Down
Jul 6th 2014, 15:16

5ive and Lawson are among the casualties after a stage was shut down at this weekend's British Summer Time festival in London's Hyde Park.

The pop acts were forced to cancel appearances, despite the 'Taking Over Me' hitmakers having travelled over from the US especially.

A statement from festival bosses reads: Due to a technical fault in The Barclaycard Theatre, the safety officer has decided to close the venue until necessary repairs are made.

Lawson's Andy Brown (WENN)

"We apologise to the artists and to the fans attending today for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause."

As a result of the Barclaycard Theatre being shut down, Young Kato will now play the Village Hall, while Hollywood Ending and Wheatus are set for the Summer Stage.

Lawson's Andy Brown wrote on Twitter: "Gutted we cant play at Hyde park today. Flew back from nashville especially. (sic)"
