Game Of Thrones Producers Rejoice As Cersei Lannister Naked Scene Finally Approved
Sep 1st 2014, 13:55

It's official, Game Of Thrones is set to get even more x-rated in season five as producers have just been given the green light to shoot a particularly raunchy scene involving a church in Croatia, which will see Cersei Lannister go completely naked.

The cast and crew of the HBO medieval fantasy series are in the midst of production for the upcoming season but filming recently hit a brick wall with town officials in Dubrovnik reportedly banning Lena Headey's character Cersei from walking through the streets in the nude, with the city's famous church St. Nicholas refusing to allow the sexual scenes from being associated with their establishment.

According to TMZ though, the commissioners have had a change of heart as GoT producers have been told they are allowed to film the scenes as town officials have realised just how much income and jobs the show has generated for the town since 2011, when they began using the town as a location for Kings Landing. While Lena is able to film the pivotal naked scenes in the street, the condition of being permitted to use the town is that she is not to set foot in the actual church, meaning the crew will build a replica set for the act.

If any fans are keen to avoid spoilers then stop reading, but the controversial scenes are said to be entirely vital to the development of the show and sees Cersei doing the "walk of shame," in what is believed to be a turning point for her fearful character. Little else is known about season five but a couple of spoilers did emerge recently with photos of Tyrion Lannister, played by Peter Dinklage and Jorah Mormont, played by Iain Glent, on set together surfacing on ComicBookMovie, suggesting that their characters could be meeting up.

Other unknown cast and crew members were seen in the throes of filming over the weekend on the picturesque location of Kastel Gomillica in Croatia, and it looks as though viewers will be introduced to a slew of new characters in the show's anticipated fifth season which will kick off in Spring 2015.
