Britney Spears confirmed her split from boyfriend David Lucado last week and told her Las Vegas audience that he'd cheated on her. A video of the lawyer apparently kissing another woman was shopped around last week, with Brit's dad Jamie Spears reportedly buying it to protect his daughter.
But now David has hit back and insisted technically he wasn't even with Britters when he locked lips with the mystery lady and it actually happened during a very brief split, TMZ claims. Using the Ross Gellar cheating-defence of "we were on a break," a source claims the couple broke up on August 6 after a string of arguments. The Toxic singer apparently dumped Lucado via text saying "I'm done with you".
The kissing session caught on camera is said to have gone down the following night (Aug 7) with the couple then reconcilling just a day later (Aug 8). He really put his 48 hours of single life to good use.

Brit tweeted this week about the "single life" and even revealed on stage that she was looking for some "hot guys," so we're guessing she's not buying David's defence.
Insiders claimed he hasn't given up on Spears yet though and is in a battle with those who influence the singer, to put his side of the story across.
