Amal Alamuddin's final fitting for her stunning Oscar de la Renta wedding gown, has been featured by Vogue magazine, revealing just how excited the 36 year-old was about her wedding to George Clooney.
The brunette walked down the aisle in an ivory beaded-tulle dress with Chantilly-lace appliqué on Saturday with the eyes of the world on her. months before though, she'd shared her hopes for the big day with the fashion bible and admitted the couple had a definite plan of what they wanted.
"George and I wanted a wedding that was romantic and elegant, and I can't imagine anyone more able than Oscar to capture this mood in a dress," she said. "Meeting him [de la Renta himself] made the design process all the more magical, as he is so warm and such a gentleman."
Gushing over the bride-to-be, Oscar, who personally saw to the design said: "It's the most important dress in the life of a woman. Any girl from any walk of life dreams of that special dress, and I try to make that dream a reality for her. Amal and I looked at a lot of evening dresses and wedding dresses together, and we discussed what she liked. That gave me the idea of what she wanted."

The fitting went down at the designer's Bryant Park offices in July, with the 36 year-old bringing along her mother and sister, Tala, who was the only attendee and also wore de la Renta.
And it wasn't just the wedding dress the designer created for Amal, she also chose one of his designs for the reception, a silver and pearl beaded fringe Gatsby-style dress, tailored to show off the brides incredible figure.
It seems George and Amal got their wish. Revealing their wedding snaps through People and Ok! Magazine, the couple seemed happier than ever on their big day.
