It was a great night for all of those who were involved in the Family Guy / The Simpsons crossover which marked Family Guy's season 13 premiere, as it drew in 8.4 million viewers last night.
It was the moment all fans of the two animated shows had been waiting for when the Griffins arrived in Springfield and Homer and his family took them in after the car was stolen. At first, it all seemed to be going swimmingly with Homer and Peter bonding over doughnuts and and beer. However, it wasn't to last long as they got into a fight. Whilst the two heads of the family argued with each other, Stewie and Bart united to prank call Moe's Tavern. Lisa was on hand to help Meg find a talent and Maggie's beloved red dummy was taken from her by Chris.
And it appears that the fans loved every minute of the 60 minute episode when Entertainment Weekly reported that 8.4 million people tuned into the show with a rating of 4.5 among the 18-49 age viewing bracket.
The special episode also proved to be more popular than the season 12 premiere of Family Guy with Entertainment Weekly reporting on a 73% rise.
