Bad news for fans of Downton Abbey's Lady Rose - as it is reported today that actor Lily James is bowing out of the show at the end of the upcoming fifth season.
According to the Daily Mail, James' commitments to the upcoming Cinderella movie mean she will not be able to stay with the smash hit ITV show that made her name.
Cinderella will see her in the title role, alongside Richard Madden from Game of Thrones as Prince Charming, Cate Blanchett as the stepmother and Helena Bonham Carter as the fairy godmother.

Producers have allegedly asked James to be on-hand for the massive promotional schedule next year, which would clash with Downton Abbey's season six filming.
Still, the Downton team have reportedly vowed not to kill off Lady Rose; remaining hopeful that she will return as soon as she is able to.
"Lily's young and adds balance to the family upstairs," a source in the production team told the newspaper.
A member of Lily's team added: "It's a very important film for Disney, and you can understand them wanting their leading lady to be available to promote it."
