Lorde has hit out at those who keep pitting her against other female singers, stating that she does like Miley Cyrus and explaining why she doesn't personally opt to strut around the stage in her bra and knickers.
The 17-year-old only became a global phenomenon a short while ago but she has already made her mark after slamming the likes of Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift for their raunchy performances and misleading fans with their "perfect" images, prompting many to label her a feminist.

However, Lorde says the public's perception of her couldn't be further from the truth.
In an interview with Q magazine, Lorde says: "I get really frustrated about people putting me as the anti-Miley. I think that's one of the things journalists concoct in their offices.
"People love to pit female artists against each other in pop, which just seems like the silliest thing ever. It's not some kind of fight to the death."
She adds: "People kind of think I don't wear bras and underwear in my videos because I think there's something wrong with it - I don't. I just don't feel super comfortable with that and I don't think that it would help my music to come across any different."
The 'Royals' singer is currently at home in New Zealand, recovering after being struck down with a chest infection and general poor health which meant she had to cancel her Australian tour last month.
