Jimi Jamison, the lead singer of bands Survivor and Cobra, died passed away suddenly on Sunday night, just a day after performing in Northern California.

He was 63 years old.

Jamison's booking agent, Sally Irwin, confirmed the sad news to TMZ, saying her client died of a heart attack at his home in Memphis.

Jamison joined Survivor in 1984 (following their smash hit from the Rocky soundtrack, "Eye of the Tiger"). He was the frontman on classic tracks such as "The Moment of Truth," "The Search Is Over," and "Is This Love."

He also ended up singing about iconic Rocky single, "Burning Heart" from "Rocky IV.
