Iggy Azalea has found incredible success this year thanks to her hit single 'Fancy' and collaboration with Ariana Grande on 'Problem,' proving she's clearly got a huge fanbase but it hasn't all been so positive with the rapper often forced to brush off her critics. One person who does have her back though is rapper T.I. who has blasted those who have unbelievably described the rising star as "racist."
The 'Black Widow' rapper has fast become one of the hottest commodities in hip-hop, even managing to surpass her rival Nicki Minaj as the most popular female rapper of the moment, at least on the charts. However, she has been accused of being an imitation act and simply a copycat of a range of hip-hop stars, with some even claiming she changes her Australian accent to sound more as though she's from the southern states.
Well, T.I., who has mentored Iggy's rise to super stardom and is close friends with the blonde beauty, isn't happy and has hit out at the haters on her behalf, telling Complex News: "That pi**es me off. Simply because they don't have any real substantial grounds. 'I don't like them.' Why? 'Just 'cause.' What you mean just 'cause? Since when do you get the right to judge people? Who died and made you the emperor of Egypt? That kind of s**t and then the things that they accuse her of, like the racist stuff. That's not even her."

He continued: "That's not even in her. Me knowing her, knowing where she comes from—for real, the whole racist thing, that's American—we forget, she's not American. So the whole Black, white, color divided thing, it isn't a part of her DNA like it is here in America. It's just ignorant to me. In this day and age, to be a race of people who are demanding equality and speaking out on injustices and wanting to be treating fairly, to stand up and do the exact same thing in opposite to someone unwarranted for no reason, it's hypocritical. I'ma ride with her. So, ya'll go ahead. Anybody got a problem with it just know, it gon' be one 'cause I'm coming."
Well said, T.I.! Iggy doesn't seem to be too bothered by her naysayers though as she was busy performing at this year's Made In America music festival in Philadelphia and Los Angeles over the weekend, putting on a rather steamy performance alongside her BFF Rita Ora.
