Kym Marsh admits no longer has contact with her first husband, former soap star Jack Ryder – five years after their marriage came to an end - but oldest child Emily Cunliffe does.
The 38-year-old actress tied the knot with Ryder – best known for his EastEnders role as Jamie Mitchell – in 2002, but while they divorced on good terms she admits it is her daughter who keeps the lines of communication open.
'To be honest we're not really in contact but nothing's bad between us, we didn't leave things in a bad way,' she said during a morning chat with Manchester based radio station Key 103 on Tuesday morning.

She added: 'We don't have any contact but he is in contact with my daughter, Emilie.'
Stepping out following her on air chat, Kym looked seasonal in a thin vest top and slim-fitting maxi-dress.
The mother of three was in high spirits as she made her way towards a waiting car and greeted onlookers with a warm smile while venturing across the car park in a pair of flip-flops.
With the sun out, Kym shielded her eyes behind a pair of heavily tinted shades, while a quilted handbag remained casually slung across her left shoulder.

Curiously, she carried a male toy figure as she headed away from the studio, where she'd been fielding questions from listeners.
The Coronation Street star is now embarked on a new relationship with personal trainer Dan Hooper following the finalisation of her divorce from husband number two Jamie Lomas.
'She has made her peace with it. She is moving on and she is happy,' a source told The Sunday Mirror.

'The split was difficult as Jamie is father to her fourth child, Polly, but she is feeling much more positive now.'
Despite this being Kym's second divorce, after her marriage to actor Jack Ryder ended in 2009, the actress says she remains hopeful.
'It hasn't made me bitter or made me rule out getting married again. You never know what the future holds, and one of the things I've learned is to have no regrets and never say never,' she explained to The Mirror in June.
