"It's an 80's style horror flick with lots of humor, gory kills and fun dialog," she told the site. "The character Fannie Ray Baker who I play is seemingly well-intended conservative evangelical do gooder."
Farrah said she took the role because it mirrors her own life growing up.
"I've been around all sorts of Christianity growing up and this leads me to feeling content with researching and playing the role of Fannie perfectly," said Farrah, whose parents are religious conservatives. "I was more compelled to do this role because of the story line including Christianity and horror, not to mention I like that my character is a wife as well. This was a character I could see myself having personal growth with."
The film is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to begin shooting in October. It promises to be quite the bloodbath.
"There's no CGI blood splatters," director Joston Theney said of the film. "No short cuts in SFX. No deeply, intertwined love trysts. This is a bloodletting! This film WILL live up to its name –Overkill. Guaranteed."
