Nicole Kidman In 'Complex Discussions' For London West End Comeback
Jul 5th 2014, 08:06

She went down a storm in the 1990s when she graced the London theatre scene in David Hare's The Blue Room, and now Nicole Kidman has revealed that she is hoping to return to the West End twice - with one play after another.

The actress explained that the negotiations she is in are pretty "complex", but it is hoped that she will pull off back-to-back stints in 2015.

"I don't know how it's going to work yet, but yes, that's the idea. Two in a row," she told the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reports that Turgenev's A Month In The Country is likely to be the first of the two to come to fruition. It's being adapted by Patrick Marber (Closer, Dealer's Choice) with Ian Rickson attached to direct.

The other proposal is A Month In The Country, which would see her playing the wife of a wealthy Russian estate owner, who falls in love with her son's tutor.

"I see so many plays in London, Sydney and New York, and I'm mindful that it's been a long time, but life and other work have conspired to keep me away," the star explained.

"But I'm determined to make at least one of the proposals work. Who knows? Both of the proposals might come together."

Let's hope so!
