The role of Kurt has not been cast yet...
Nirvana fans rejoice! A new biographical movie focusing on the life of Kurt Cobain is in the works, according to Kurt's widow, Courtney Love. In a new interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Courtney revealed that she and her daughter Frances Bean Cobain are very involved in the film's production, which is scheduled to start fairly soon.
"The biopic should start within the next year or so," she told the site, adding that she and the rest of the people involved in casting have had a hard time choosing the actor that will play her late husband.

"That was really tough because these boys are so pretty, so cute. I won't name names because I don't want to jinx it for anyone but these are 25-year-olds who are blond, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts," she said. "There's a ton of those. Some are really good actors, not just pretty faces."
Courtney said that she has bowed out of the casting process for the most part because she is tired of actors hitting on her in order to get the coveted role.
"Some beautiful blond, tragic, gorgeous actor boy is hitting on me, and why? He wants to play Kurt," she said. "So I am moving that over to the agency side…I don't want to be the person who makes that decision. Let's leave that to the agents; I have great agents now. But I will have a say in it."
Kurt's daughter Frances, as well as his former Nirvana band mates Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, will also have a say in the casting, Courtney said.
"I am leading the charge because it's time to do this," she added.
