5 Seconds Of Summer fans have shared their excitement online, after the boys confirmed, earlier today, that they will be performing at this year's MTV VMAs.
There's the good news, but there's also some bad news! In order to perform at the bash, they've had to cancel two of their support slots on One Direction's Where We Are tour, in Dallas and St. Louis.
However, despite this, fans were still left thrilled over the news!

The band posted on Twitter, earlier today: "HELLO, we have some awesome news to tell you...."
They then added: "were performing at the @MTV VMAs in August! to be asked & given this opportunity's incredible, we cant be more excited about it :D #5SOSVMAs."
"this means we need to cancel our #WWAT supports in Dallas & St Louis :( were sorry if u were hoping to see us but we'll have more news soon!"
We wonder what the 5SOS lads are planning for their big performance?
The exciting news comes after Ariana Grande became the first performer to be announced, last week, for this year's ceremony.

5SOS' One Direction cancellations come after the boys were also forced to cancel two of their supporting dates, in Copenhagen and Porto last month and earlier this month, due to "unforeseen circumstances."
"Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to cancel our support sets on the 1D Tour for Copenhagen on June 16th/17th and Porto on July 13th," a statement released by the boys on their Tumblr page read.
"McBusted are now going to be playing in Copenhagen and D.A.M.A will be opening in Porto, so it's still going to be a wicked bunch of shows! We are really sad we can't make it and are very sorry to any of our fans who were looking forward to seeing us…"
"We really hope to be able to come back to perform and see you all very soon! We love you. - Ash, Mikey, Cal & Luke," they added.
