The couple tied the knot at the Aman Canal Grande luxury resort in Venice, Italy Saturday ... according to People -- and the ceremony was FILLED with celebs like Bono, Bill Murray and Matt Damon.
George and Amal were married by Walter Veltroni -- former mayor of Rome.
The couple started dating last October ... and things escalated pretty quickly ... especially for a guy who once vowed to never get married after things fizzled with his first wife, Talia Balsam.
R.I.P. Clooney's bachelorhood ... it was a good run.
