It's a girl for former U.S. First Daughter Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky. The bundle of joy arrived four days before Chelsea's due date, surprising her parents, as well as her grandparents, former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Chelsea excitedly tweeted the news on Saturday morning that their baby daughter had arrived safely and that they had chosen a name for her.
"Marc and I are full of love, awe and gratitude as we celebrate the birth of our daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky," she wrote, which Bill and Hillary promptly retweeted.

This is the first child for Chelsea and Marc, who have been married since 2010. The couple chose not to find out the sex of their child until her birth, which 34-year-old Chelsea said added to the fun of her pregnancy.
"There are so few mysteries in life -- any answer is a happy one," Chelsea said during her pregnancy. "So my husband and I decided that we would enjoy this mystery for the nine-plus months that we're granted, and we are eager to find out what God will have given us."

Chelsea announced her pregnancy on April 17 while she and Hillary were onstage at an event in New York City. Since Chelsea is the only child of Bill and Hillary, Charlotte is their first and only grandchild.
"I just hope that I will be as good a mom to my child and hopefully children as my mom was to me," Chelsea recently told the press.
