The Walking Dead Hints At Cannibal Danger For Survivors In Gripping Season Five Poster
Sep 3rd 2014, 14:38

The Walking Dead's upcoming season looks set to be the deadliest yet with a brand new teaser poster appearing to hint that Rick Grimes and the rest of the desperate survivors could be on the run from a group of hungry cannibals, picking up from where the last season left off.

With just weeks to go before season five hits our screens, fans have been teased about upcoming events with the poster showing a sweaty and panicked Rick holding a gun alongside the terrifying warning: "Hunt Or Be Hunted." Oh, the excitement!

For those who need a recap, season four ended with a jaw-dropping climax showing most members of the unfortunate group trapped inside a box at Terminus, the place which they believed would be a safe-haven but is actually overrun with cannibals ready to capture their next meal.

It's not only those trapped at Terminus who could be in grave danger though as just last week, a 16-second clip showed Tyreese trapped in a house with a huge flood of walkers charging towards him from the woods, leaving us to speculate about the safety of Carol and baby Judith who were last seen with him in season four.

Promising action-packed scenes for viewers, AMC president Charlie Collier said in a statement earlier this summer: "From the opening tease in the premiere onward, season five is without question the most ambitious and satisfying season this amazing team has ever crafted. In the zombie apocalypse, event television is alive and well, and I am proud to acknowledge that this uniquely talented writing staff, production team and cast have once again raised the bar (and the crossbow)."

The Walking Dead will return to screens on October 13 (AMC)

Season five will no doubt see a group of fresh faces as Seth Gillam has confirmed his addition to the cast as Father Gabriel and it doesn't look as though his character is all the holy, with Father Gabriel reportedly helping the survivors to repent for past sins. Ooh, the suspense is too much!
